Their names and exact roles were not available at publication time. Neither xAI nor SpaceX responded to requests for comment. Anysphere declined to confirm or deny the departures.
Cursor has grown quickly over the past two years, attracting a loyal developer base with its IDE integration and LLM-assisted code generation. The company competes with GitHub Copilot, Google's Gemini Code Assist, and a crowded field of newer agentic coding tools.
